Great for a day or two in the woods!
The TRiage is a perfect kit to add to my pack when going out hunting for the day or taking a hike with my family. It takes up little room, or can be snapped on a belt or pack with the provided caribeener. The kit is lightweight and very sturdy, and the full Velcro closure doesnt allow anything spilling out or the kids getting in. I also like the included first aid instructions for those moments of panic when you are not sure which is the best method. So far it has put to good use on our dog- taking out a huge splinter and bandaging up the open wound.

Essential Gear for Hikers
As an avid hiker and 'peak-bagger', I am always looking for dependable gear to improve my experience. This rugged, lightweight first-aid kit is perfect for the day hiker or the thru hiker. The nylon pouch is durable and will not snag or rip on tree branches and rocks. The attached carabiner clip makes it easy to attach to your pack or your gear. The waterproof plastic bag inside holds all the triage essentials for cleaning, treating and protecting common injuries. In addition to antiseptic wipes, bandages and ointments, this triage kit contains some pain relief meds and a mini scalpel and forceps. Having sterile equipment and supplies is a must when you are treating an injury in the backwoods or on the open trail. I haven't needed to treat any major injuries yet (fingers crossed), but this kit came in handy when my daughter developed a nasty blister on her toe just 500' from the summit of Mt. Washington. After applying some antibiotic cream and a clean bandage from the triage kit she was good to go and we enjoyed a beautiful day on the mountain. You'll kick yourself later if you pass this up.
